Alan's Grandpa Jorgensen passed away in January. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Alan and I were able to go and visit him while we were in town for Christmas, we were so grateful we did. Alan considered his Grandpa a father and I know it was hard on him. I also was lucky to get very close to him while Alan lived with his grandparents just before we got married. Our kids adored him and Sam specifically has really struggled with this. Alan was so honored to be able to speak on behalf of the grandkids at his funeral and he did a wonderful job being sure to include memories from all grandkids. What an amazing example Grandpa Jorgensen was in every aspect of life, but specifically when it came to his marriage and family. Alan has alway said I hope I can be as great of husband, father and grandfather as my grandpa.
